ZMRA calls for whistleblowers

AllAfrica reports that the Zimbabwe Music Rights Association (ZMRA) has declared war on piracy and that it is urging the public to report anyone infringing copyright law. Speaking at Pitshou Lumiere's album launch, guest of honour Prince Tendai (ZMRA chairmann) said many artists were losing billions of dollars through piracy:

"Artists have been fleeced of billions of dollars through piracy. I call on the public to join the music rights association and law enforcement authorities in protecting our music from pirates masquerading as innocent CD-burning school leavers. Let's transform into deadly whistle blowers willing and ready to report any copyright infringement of this and other works to the authorities".
