A review of African official IP websites: no. 22: Ghana


There has been some slight improvement since this Leo visited Ghana in 2011: the copyright office appears to have incorporated all the essential social media channels; however, Ghana is yet to have a website for the patent, trademark and designs office.

IP technical assistance from Switzerland
As reported last year, Switzerland seems to be playing its part in bilateral IP technical assistance in Africa as it supported Ghana’s IP policy framework and recently committed US$3.5 million to a project to support young Ghanaian entrepreneurs in the fashion and fabric industry.

But surely, Ghana is not that poor  that it cannot afford to provide its IP office with a basic website.
